How to Use Senate of AIs™

Step 01
Connect your AI providers
Open the Connections page and connect a key once per provider — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, xAI Grok, Groq, Mistral, DeepSeek, or Cohere. One connected provider can power many senators.
- Free tiers are marked with a green badge; paid-only models show amber.
- Keys are encrypted and stored under your account — we never share them.
- Removing a key silences any senator using it — nothing else breaks.

Assign providers to your senators
On the Senators page, pick a Powered by provider and a Model for each seat. Two senators can share a provider but run different models. Unassigned seats stay Silent.
- You need at least two senators assigned before you can convene.
- Mix free-tier and premium models to balance cost and depth.
- Set a Chief Senator here — they'll compile the Senate's draft opinion.

Start a session
Open a new deliberation, give it a clear title, and pose the strategic or ethical question you need help with. You can type your question, dictate it with voice-to-text, and upload documents or context for the Senate to review.
- Use a specific, decision-oriented question for sharper advice.
- Upload context files so every senator is working from the same facts.
- Review and edit your voice transcript before sending it into the chamber.

Hear the deliberation & Chief compile
Click Begin Deliberation. Each connected senator speaks their view — no votes yet. Your chosen Chief Senator then synthesises the chamber, your uploaded materials, and the full debate into a single draft Opinion of the Senate.
- Read each senator's stance before jumping to the Chief's draft.
- The Chief is a single lens, not a replacement for the full Senate.
- Voting only happens once you approve the Chief's compiled Opinion.

Review the draft, then call the vote
The session pauses at Awaiting Review so you can read the Chief's draft, request edits, or edit manually. When you click Approve Opinion you sign off as the human decision-maker; from there you can export the Opinion or call the Senate to a decisive Yes/No vote.
- Request edits as many times as needed — every draft is kept in Version History.
- Compare drafts side-by-side before you approve.
- Approving the draft is what triggers the Senate vote — nothing votes without your go-ahead.

Export results
After the vote closes, export the record. Download the Opinion, version history, and session metadata as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or PDF for your own files, meetings, or compliance records.
- Fix validation issues first using the guided checklist.
- Export the full version history or only the final draft.
- Every export includes the human-judgment disclaimer.

Best practices
Start with a clear decision
The Senate is most useful when your question ends with a choice: Should we…? Which path…? What are the risks of…?
Link as many keys as you can
A full chamber gives you broader perspective. Even one or two linked senators can be valuable, but seven voices are stronger than one.
Treat output as advisory
Senate of AIs™ supplies advisory output only. The decision to act on it is yours, and any errors or omissions remain a human responsibility.
Keep metadata current
Title, tags, leadership context, and key assumptions make exports clearer and help you find sessions later.
